This is a senior individual contributor role owning AGRIVI's AI engineering capability, from strategy to production.
You will work directly with the CDO and Head of Product to define where AI creates real value, translate that into architecture, and build it. This is a hands-on role. You design and you deliver.
Your primary focus is AI Engage, AGRIVI's client-facing AI product ecosystem. AI Engage is not a collection of disconnected agents, it is a modular system of reusable capabilities that can be deployed across use cases, either as standalone experiences or embedded within AGRIVI's Farm Management Software as an intelligent companion layer.
The ambition is not to build one-off solutions. It is to create a scalable ecosystem where AI capabilities can be reused, extended, and deployed efficiently across industries and verticals.
You will play a defining role in how AI becomes a core part of how large-scale agriculture operates, not as an add-on, but as an integrated layer within real production systems.
The scope of this role is both external and internal. Beyond AI Engage development, you will work alongside the team to drive AGRIVI's internal AI adoption, building the agents and automation that shape how we operate and deliver.
What You Will Do
Build, own, and evolve AI Engage
Design and build AI agents, modules, and capabilities from concept to production.
Develop new interaction patterns, data integrations, and reasoning capabilities.
Enable deployment both as standalone AI Engage features and as embedded companion agents within AGRIVI products.
Maintain a clean separation between reusable feature logic and domain-specific context.
Extend the system to new industry verticals without rebuilding from scratch.
Own architecture decisions and ensure the system remains scalable and maintainable.
Deliver production-grade systems: reliability, observability, evaluation, and quality.
Drive model and technical strategy
Select the right models per use case, balancing capability, cost, latency, and context constraints.
Run structured evaluations when model decisions have product or cost impact.
Stay current with the AI landscape and bring relevant insights into product and technical decisions.
Contribute to product direction
Identify where AI creates real value, new features, workflows, or efficiency gains.
Contribute directly to the AI roadmap and prioritization.
Work closely with product and engineering to shape what gets built and why.
Drive internal AI adoption
Work alongside the team to identify where AI agents and automation create meaningful leverage in how AGRIVI operates and delivers.
Improve internal workflows and delivery efficiency where it meaningfully reduces manual work or complexity.

Skills & Experience
We are hiring for capability, not specific tools. Strong fundamentals and the ability to learn quickly matter more than prior experience with our exact stack.
Required:
AI agent architecture & building - Designing and building production LLM-powered systems: tool use, orchestration, prompt engineering, error handling.
Model knowledge & evaluation - Experience working with multiple model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.) and making informed trade-offs on capability, cost, latency, and task fit.
Python - Primary language for AI systems, orchestration, and integrations.
TypeScript / JavaScript - For APIs, integrations, and connecting AI systems to production products.
Agent frameworks & orchestration - Experience with frameworks or custom implementations for agent workflows, tool calling, and multi-agent coordination.
Cloud AI platforms - Experience building and deploying AI systems in cloud environments.
Strong plus:
Azure AI ecosystem - Foundry, Azure AI Projects SDK, and related tooling.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) - Or similar integration patterns for tooling and context management.
Cloud infrastructure basics - Identity, hosting, and deployment fundamentals.
DevOps tooling - CI/CD, pipelines, and delivery workflows.
Nice to have:
C# readability - AGRIVI 360 Farm Enterprise backend is C#. Agents sit at the API/orchestration layer, but reading service code helps when collaborating with the Architect or debugging integrations.
Enterprise product integration - Experience integrating AI capabilities into existing enterprise products.
Domain
Agricultural experience is not required. The domain is complex but learnable. Curiosity and willingness to understand it matter more than prior familiarity.
